Inflammatory Foods Are So Last Season

You’re sitting at your favorite restaurant with friends devouring the most amazing cheeseburger you’ve ever had. You ordered extra fries, and you’ve downed some soda to help wash it down. When you get home later that night, your stomach is hurting, your body is exhausted, and you feel awful. You take some medicine, but nothing really helps. Leading you to question, “why am I feeling this way?”. Research has found that over time, chronic inflammation can trigger your immune system to attack healthy tissue and organs in your body. When left untreated, prolonged chronic inflammation can increase your risk for diseases like diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and rheumatoid arthritis.

It’s crazy what inflammation can actually do to the body. When we talk about inflammation, it's your immune system we are actually referring to and its response to a previous injury or infection. When something is injured, inflammation is actually a pretty good thing. This is because the area you injured will become red and swell, while a massive amount of beneficial white blood cells flow into battle the infection and help you heal. The same response occurs in other parts of your body when you encounter a virus or infection. But sometimes our immune response occurs when it shouldn't. It can be triggered in other ways. Research at the world-renowned Harvard Medical School found, when you are exposed to toxins, and by other causes such as chronic stress, obesity, and autoimmune disorders. In these cases, instead of moving in, healing the problem, and then returning to normal, the inflammation persists over time. It's thought that this chronic state of inflammation can lead to numerous health problems, including heart disease, arthritis, depression, Alzheimer's disease, and even cancer.

So how do we avoid a build-up of inflammation? Well, to help tackle this damaging chronic inflammation, it’s crucial to choose the right foods, and avoid those that can trigger chronic inflammation, including red meat, refined carbohydrates (such as white bread and muffins), fried foods, and sugary drinks. Instead, try to opt for green leafy vegetables and fruits, nuts, fatty fish, and olive oil. That’s why I created the MetaBoost program!!
