3 Reasons Why a Positive Mindset is More Beneficial
When it comes to fitness, and changing your lifestyle into a healthy one we often dread the thought of eating salads for the rest of our lives or spending hours in a gym with people who intimidate us because they have the perfect body, or muscles that break through their shirts. This can lead to negative thoughts, that in the end make our journeys longer, and our obstacles larger to overcome, but what happens when you change your mindset, and views into positive ones?
When you were a kid, the odds are that your gym class was fun! Gym class was when you could run around with your friends, going crazy, and no one cared what you looked like or how fast you were moving.
Why can’t that mindset apply now?
We can’t rewrite the past, but we sure can learn how to positively move forward!
Change your definition of exercise
When people think of exercise, they think of being on a treadmill for a long period of time, or even just spending hours at the gym to get the goals and the body that they want so badly. This can often be seen as a barrier, when in reality exercise is just moving your body! And to make this a little sweeter, you really only have to move for seven minutes! I have an awesome One and Done program that only requires seven minutes a day! Meaning, you could do this first thing in the morning, or right before you go to bed, you could do this on your lunch break, or in the kitchen, it doesn’t matter where you are or what you are doing, it doesn’t require you to go to the gym, and you still get the body and the goals that you want to achieve! If 7 minutes is something that relieves some stress off your shoulders, then click here! And let’s tackle this together!
Set small goals, and make it a habit!
When you make a drastic lifestyle change, especially a healthy one, we tend to make large goals, that seem impossible to reach! It doesn’t have to be that way! Make small goals, like weekly ones, this could be something as simple as giving up coffee, or making it a habit to do your work out at a certain time every day! Because when these small goals add up, they turn into the large goals! Both my programs include easy schedules to follow, while also providing everything that you need to be successful! Such as my MetaBoost program, this program has schedules laid out for you, with the recipes that follow and a shopping list so you don’t have to think about a thing! And I promise you they aren’t just salads! Eating healthy doesn’t require a bowl of lettuce with some vegetables on top, this program allows you to try new things, while also getting the nutrients and healthy benefits from each fun meal! Lastly, try mindfulness!
We talked about this in my last blog, but I’m just going to touch on it one more time! A great tip, could be doing your workout outside, this allows you to focus on the beautiful view, the fresh air, and it makes it a lot harder for you to get lost in your own thoughts! Focus on the workouts, don’t focus on making it perfect! Remember that this whole journey is a marathon, not a sprint! Time is all that you can give yourself! Another great way to practice mindfulness is to relax your mind, your soul, and your body. This yoga routine allows you to move your body while also releasing all those negative thoughts, and clearing your mind! Click here to do some yoga with me!
This takes time, but the shift from a negative mindset to a positive one is only meant to benefit you! A positive mindset can positively impact your journey moving forward, it allows you to have hope and gives you the sensation that success is just around the corner! What’s stopping you?
