TEA TYPES
Tea comes in two forms, caffeinated and decaffeinated. Many people prefer to have caffeinated tea in the morning to help increase their energy levels and decaffeinated tea in the evening to help with a good night's sleep! Herbal tea has been used for thousands of years because of its proven immune boosting properties and natural remedies. Let’s dive further into the benefits of tea...
TEA FOR ENERGY
We all need energy to not only get through the day but to conquer each and every day! There are many sources available to us, but when it comes to natural crash free sources of energy, herbal tea takes first place. A few of these teas include Yerba mate, Rhodiola, and Ashwagandha. Yerba mate helps with alertness, staying focused, and decreasing fatigue. Rhodiola on the other hand, may help to improve mental function by stimulating our blood circulation. Last but definitely not least, Ashwagandha is believed to help reduce stress-induced fatigue, therefore boosting the body's natural energy. I am the best version of myself when I feel energized and ready to take on the day, even get a good workout in! And who doesn’t love a workout that is only 7 minutes? Literally, 7 minutes, I could do this faster than finishing a cup of my favorite tea or even showering! Calm your body, your mind, and strengthen your muscles and soul here!
TEA FOR SLEEP
We now know that herbal tea's effects can help boost energy levels, but let's dig deeper into how it can help improve our sleep. Getting a good night's rest is imperative and quite necessary, that is if you want your body to function properly and at its best. Figuratively speaking, have you ever woken up on the wrong side of the bed? Well, I definitely have! When my body doesn’t receive enough hours of sleep, my brain and body tend to feel fatigued and exhausted. Fortunately, research shows that there are herbal remedies to help reduce those horrible sleepless nights. These herbal teas include Chamomile, Valerian Root, and Lavender. Because of its calming effects, chamomile tea has been shown to help in relaxing the mind and body and bind to specific receptors in the brain which may help you fall asleep. Valerian root is considered a popular sleeping aid in the US and Europe because of its stress and anxiety-reducing properties. Many people drink Lavender tea to feel a sense of calming and relaxation. The powerful scent is also said to help settle nerves and aid in sleep.
TEA FOR DETOX
Have you ever tried to detox your body? After a vacation or even a weekend filled with junk food and sugary drinks. We all need to splurge once in a while but we may not feel our very best after. This is when detoxing comes in and plays a major role in resetting our bodies so we can have more energy, get more sleep, and feel better all around. You probably guessed where I’m headed with this… Yup! There are even herbal teas to help you detox your body! These kinds of tea include Dandelion, Fennel, and Turmeric Ginger. Dandelion tea actually encourages urination, and as a result, eliminates toxins from the body. Fennel tea works to relieve constipation which in turn helps to rid the body of dangerous waste and toxins, similar to the effects of Dandelion tea. Lastly, because of the properties that Turmeric and Ginger both produce, combining them makes this a powerhouse tea when it comes to detoxing. This tea contains antioxidants that help to repair the liver cells and also aid the liver with detoxing. You can even drink these teas during the MetaBoost program to help induce the detoxing period! So not only would you benefit from tackling those hormones and inflammation, but you would also give your body a metaBOOST, click here!!
